Brevard County, being known for its spacial research and exploration, is also known for its variety of towns and cities. The city of Rockledge is a fair sized city of about 26,000 residents and is bordered by the city of Cocoa to the north and the St. Johns River to the west. Although this great city is well established, it is actually the oldest municipality in Brevard County, being founded in 1887 as a great location for the citrus trade and tourism. To this day Rockledge is still a wonderful place to live because of its sheer size and recreational activities, like visiting one of the 29 parks in the area. The homes here are well maintained and kept organized so that when new families come to check them out, they will want to stay for good.
